We focus on preparing, youth black talent from the hosting communities for the world of work. Learnerships allow eligible candidates from outside the academic streams to develop skills across various disciplines applicable to mining, our fields of training include; engineering, administration, and blasting. The internship programme provides unemployed youth who have completed degrees or diplomas in the scarce skills disciplines identified in the MQA and MERSETA Sector Skills Plan with work exposure across different sections in HCI Coal. Internships training areas; HR, geology, procurement, finance, environmental, health and safety, mining, metallurgy, industrial engineering and training.
